Accessibility Consultant, UI/UX Audit, Accessibility Remediation
Accessible Lab conducted an in-depth accessibility audit of UDC, combining automated tools with expert manual testing. We identified a range of issues such as improper heading structure, inaccessible forms, missing focus styles, and low color contrast. Beyond reporting, our team provided direct remediation support—guiding UDC’s developers through code improvements, verifying fixes, and ensuring critical pages aligned with WCAG 2.1 AA standards.
The UDC website is now significantly more accessible and user-friendly for people with disabilities. Users can navigate effectively with assistive technologies, form fields are properly labeled, and all interactive components meet accessibility requirements. These enhancements support the university’s mission of inclusion and help ensure compliance with accessibility regulations at the federal level.
